As 2026 draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on another year of meaningful dialogue, shared knowledge, and continued progress in oncology navigation and survivorship care. At the Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship, our commitment to supporting this dedicated community remains unwavering, and we look toward 2027 with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of purpose.
This year also brought the profound loss of our Editor Emeritus, Dr. Harold P. Freeman, whose pioneering work helped establish the foundation of patient navigation. His extraordinary legacy continues to inspire our mission and serves as a reminder of the importance of advancing equitable, compassionate, and patient-centered cancer care. We are honored to continue the Dr. Harold Freeman One Team Award in his memory and are currently accepting nominations to recognize those carrying his vision forward at www.jons-online.com.
As the oncology landscape evolves, we remain dedicated to providing a trusted platform for exchanging ideas, highlighting innovative approaches, and amplifying the voices of those making a difference in the lives of patients and their families. We are also thrilled about a few upcoming collaborations and opportunities to strengthen navigation and improve patient care that are in the works for us at JONS, with more details to come as we exit 2026.
With a new year on the horizon, we invite you to help shape the conversations ahead. We welcome submissions offering fresh perspectives, practical insights, research findings, and experiences from across the oncology care continuum. We are also eager to expand our network of peer reviewers and welcome expressions of interest from professionals wishing to contribute their expertise to our Editorial Advisory Board.
