Navigation Programs on the March in 2017

Dear Navigators,

It is with great excitement I write to you today about the growth of the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) and the Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship (JONS), the official publication of AONN+. With over 900 attendees at our annual conference and monthly issues of JONS scheduled to publish this year, 2017 promises to be our best year yet in furthering the cause of oncology navigation programs.

With our growth, you will see new departments and features in our pages. Some of these include the following:

• Feature Article – In each issue, we offer an original, peer-reviewed, evidence-based navigation research article. If you have conducted navigation research, we want to disseminate your findings. Please consider contributing your manuscript to JONS via our online submission process at www.jons-online.com
• Interview with the Innovators – In our interview series, JONS highlights effective navigation programs as well as people on the front lines of oncology research and cancer care delivery to keep our readership abreast of the latest innovations in the field
• Navigator’s Notebook – Case studies from your colleagues highlighting compelling navigation success stories
• The Round Table: Insights from Expert Navigators – A column authored by board members exploring expert opinion on navigation policy and tools to enhance navigation tactics, resources, and education.
