Dear Navigators, Social Workers, Administrators, and Clinical Staff,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I introduce our newly expanded Editorial Board and our newly established Advisory Board!
Since the founding of AONN+ in 2009, we have amassed an incredible community of navigators and other healthcare providers from the multidisciplinary team who recognize the value of navigation in impacting clinical outcomes and the patient experience. The expansion of our community has made evident the need to expand our Editorial Board. The leaders on our Editorial Board are instrumental in our peer-review process, in guiding the topics, and identifying authors—all to bring you the most impactful and relevant information you need in your navigation practice.
We are most grateful to the newly appointed board members and look forward with great anticipation to their contributions to JONS.
We didn’t stop there. As navigators, we realize that the patient’s voice should be the most important voice at the treatment-decision table. To ensure that our offerings take into account the patient perspective, we have established the JONS Advisory Board comprising leaders from our nation’s top oncology advocacy groups.
We are deeply honored to have these advocates join us in our mission to advance navigation practices in the hope of improving outcomes and the experiences of patients.
I encourage you to take a moment to peruse our Board page and join me in welcoming our Editorial and Advisory Board members to our ever-growing navigation community.
Sincerely,

Lillie D. Shockney, RN, BS, MAS, HON-ONN-CG
