Dear Navigators, Social Workers, Administrators, and Clinical Staff,
Welcome to a new year of inspirational and educational programming for members of the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+)! Whether you are new to our community or a veteran member, here are some ways you can engage with the Academy to continue to enhance your navigation skills and advance your career. All of the following resources can be found at www.AONNonline.org.
Connect with Peers
The Midyear and Annual Conferences provide excellent opportunities to connect with the AONN+ community. In addition to national events, the Academy encourages members to join (or start!) a Local Navigator Network (LNN). If you are interested in starting an LNN, we can provide resources to help you launch a network in your area.
AONN+ Blog
We invite all nurse and patient navigators, administrators, social workers, oncologists, and other members of the cancer care team to read perspectives and share their own insights and experiences on the AONN+ Blog.
Heart and Soul of Oncology Navigation
This podcast provides a platform for navigators to discuss topics reflective of the Academy’s 8 domains of knowledge. Each episode features AONN+ members’ stories from the frontlines, best practices, lessons learned throughout a navigator career, and support services.
Navigate Now: How Can We Help?
This Facebook Live series tackles topics that the AONN+ community selects, such as compassion fatigue, telehealth, survivorship and rehabilitation, and many more. Expert guest panelists share their insights and helpful navigation tools.
Education & Resources
As an AONN+ member, you have exclusive access to curated educational materials to benefit you, your patients, and your practice. On the website, you’ll find articles and white papers, videos, webinars, CE/CME activities, navigation tools, and more!
In these ways, we promise to keep you inspired in the coming year by providing educational opportunities that will enhance your practice. On behalf of all of us at the Academy, thank you for being part of our oncology navigation community!
Sincerely,

Lillie D. Shockney, RN, BS, MAS, HON-ONN-CG
