Policy & Advocacy
The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Policy & Advocacy Committee was launched in 2018 with a goal of utilizing legislative, regulatory, and policy advocacy to protect and promote the practice of oncology patient navigation to best serve individuals and families impacted by cancer.
In a 3-part presentation, the AONN+ Policy and Advocacy Committee shared its work and goals, discussed COVID-19 and its impact on patients with cancer, and provided an update on Medicaid expansion.
The Academy joins 156 organizations urging Congress to expand eligibility for the paid family and medical leave
