Ms. Lavinia Dobrea is a Registered Nurse for over 20 years with a practice focused in clinical trials for the past 16 years. She leads the Oncology Research and Biospecimen Programs at St. Joseph Hospital in California, USA. Her expertise is in the management of oncology studies and she has facilitated the growth of this community hospital program into a busy and successful research department yielding close to 25% patient participation in clinical trials.
Her interests are in promoting clinical trials to physicians and patients. A main focus is on streamlining processes to facilitate tissue testing and education to manage awareness of Immuno-oncology to subspecialists.Ms. Dobrea holds a Master of Science in Clinical Research Administration and is a certified oncology nurse. She is an active member on the N&AHP Committee of IASLC; chair of Clinical Trials Committee of Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators; co-chair of Lung-MAP Study Site Coordinators Committee of SWOG- a National Cancer Institute-supported network; and on the Cancer Program Guidelines Committee of the Association of Community Cancer Centers.
