Accreditation
The Commission on Cancer (CoC) is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care. The AONN+ is a CoC member organization.
Accreditation is important in setting standards. Dr. Bosserman explains, however, that as funding has dried up, fewer hospitals are willing to put up the money in pursuit of an accreditation that no one is requiring.

years because of the fragmentation that commonly occurs among access,
diagnosis, and treatment.
